Get a refused QuickBooks import working — EUR 49, fixed fee
The free converter on this site handles most statements. This page is for when it does not, or when QuickBooks refuses the file for a reason nobody can explain to you. You send three things: the error message, the header row of your file, and your QuickBooks version. You never send the statement. I tell you exactly why it is being refused and give you a file that imports, or you pay nothing.
🔒 No bank statement, ever. Column names are not transactions. If I cannot solve it without seeing real data, I will tell you so and charge nothing.
What you get
- The actual cause, named. Not "try again later" — which of the documented causes is yours, and how I know.
- A working file where the problem is the file: a
.QBOwith your bank's correctFIDandINTU.BID, correct date order, transaction ids that will not collide with what you already imported, and field lengths QuickBooks will accept. - A repeatable recipe, so next month you do it yourself in the free tool in two minutes.
- A straight answer when the answer is no. If your cause is a dead bank connection, an unsupported version or anything only Intuit can fix, you get that in writing and you are not charged.
What it costs, and when you pay
EUR 49 for one refused import. One bank, one file layout, one QuickBooks version. You are invoiced after you have the answer, not before, and not at all if I could not solve it or did not reply within 48 hours.
What I need from you
- The exact error text or code QuickBooks shows (
OL-222, "cannot verify the financial institution", "some info may be missing from your file", or a plain description). - The header row only of your CSV or Excel export — the column names, with no transaction rows under them. Paste it as text.
- Your QuickBooks product and year (Online, or Desktop 2021/2022/2023/2024…), and your bank's name.
That is enough for almost every refusal, because almost every refusal is about the file's structure, not its contents.
Honest limits
- PDF statements may need a sample I will not ask for. If your layout cannot be worked out from a description, I will say so rather than ask you to send client data.
- I cannot restore a bank feed, re-authorise a login, clear a bank alert or repair a company file. Those are Intuit's or your bank's, and the bank-feed page tells you which is which, free.
- I am one person and this is a new service. No phone line, no SLA beyond the 48-hour promise above, no accounting advice — I work on file formats, not your books.
- Not affiliated with Intuit or QuickBooks.

Why you would trust me on this
Everything I know about why QuickBooks refuses files is written up and sourced, not asserted: the FID / INTU.BID refusal, the OL and OLSU codes against Intuit's own published list, why a re-import gets silently skipped, what still works on a sunset Desktop version, and a searchable copy of Intuit's institution directory covering 8,448 banks and credit unions. Read any of it before you decide.
